Our Faculty generates knowledge in several scientific disciplines. The academic staff, technical and administrative team of careers and master's degrees, respond to environmental challenges from basic and applied research, forge leading researchers in different fields, inspire the search for comprehensive solutions for industry, business, entrepreneurship, from innovation and develop learning in basic sciences in thousands of young university students each year. We work in more than 30 laboratories and several research centers that use state-of-the-art technology. We also preserve and strengthen the most important biological collections of mammals, amphibians, birds, reptiles, plants, fungi, insects, yeasts and microorganisms in the country, for the generation of knowledge, scientific dissemination and outreach projects. We cultivate an environment of work, respect and friendliness with national and international visitors and collaborators.
