Resumen
Objective: To learn about the factorial structure of the Inventory of Self-Regulation of Learning Processes (IPAA) in a sample of university students in Ecuador. Method: The study was based on a descriptive and instrumental design of the IPAA. Participants: 570 students from public universities in Ecuador. Seventy-six percent were women and 24% were men. Ages ranged from 17 to 56 years (M= 25.29; SD= 6.5 years). Results: The IPAA is best interpreted among the university sample through a hierarchical factorial model of three first-order factors and one second-order factor with adequate adjustment. In addition, it converges moderately and positively with the Academic Situations Specific Perceived Self-Efficacy Scale and has high internal consistency reliability. Conclusion: Structural and external evidence of IPPA measurements in a university sample from Ecuador is reported.
