Resumen

This article explores the “Learn with Love” application as a comprehensive support tool for the development of literacy skills in people with Down syndrome. The application, designed with an inclusive approach, seeks to promote a positive and personalized educational environment. Through playful and adaptive activities, interactive learning is encouraged, taking into account the individual needs of each user. In this context, an experimental study was carried out with two independent groups, taken as control and experimental groups with 25 students each, which offers a robust framework to effectively and reliably evaluate the impact of the application. Two instruments were applied; on the one hand, the reading–writing process evaluation battery (PROLEC) adapted in both groups and, on the other hand, a survey administered to professionals to evaluate the acceptance of the application. As results, significant improvements were obtained in the scores of the tests carried out post-test in the experimental group compared to the control group. This finding supports the effectiveness of the app as an educational tool for people with Down syndrome, highlighting its ability to boost learning and the development of literacy skills.
