Resumen
This paper aims to determine whether in some centers of mediation and conflict resolution, in Quito and Ibarra - Ecuador, mediation is an alternative method for conflict resolution and contributes to the adequate and satisfactory management of domestic problems; From indicators of satisfaction concerning a) characteristics of mediation, b) the process of mediation and c) the outcome of mediation; scales that evidence significant differences between requested and requesting people. Simultaneously, it also attempts to analyze the differences in the profile of the users of the mediation center and their assessments of the process in cases where mediation has offered satisfactory results, in contrast to those who have not fulfilled the criterion. The results obtained from an interview to 154 people have been significant.
