Resumen

The aim of this paper is to present methodological settings in addressing local governance (GPL), from the qualitative perspective, which supports a structure that permits disclosure of relevant and quality information through primary sources, constituted in the spaces under study as well as the groups to research, on the other hand, the use of grounded theory is presented as an ideal technique for analyzing the collected empirical data, allowing it to be useful for theory building. As for the steps to develop research in the field of the GPL is convenient to use the quadruple model proposed. We conclude that qualitative research methodology is presented as relevant to the scope of the GPL, given the flexibility and ability to be critical in collecting the data, and implement creativity and interpretation of the researcher.
