Guía metodológica de levantamiento de información para el diseño de redes FTTH-GPON con enfoque QoS

The exponential increase of more data, by internet subscribers, in reduced slots of time, is making Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to deploy or migrate their internet networks to FTTH-GPON technology. However due to either lack of knowledge of the core functions of the technology or to lessen costs in: design and implementation; many ISPs deploy their FTTH networks with no QoS methodology to obtain trustworthy information on subscriber and bandwidth growth. This document lines up specific and sequential methods, starting from: delimiting network’s coverage area, defining the population and the sample, subscriber’s growth and calculating average home bandwidth projections; all of this with reliable information obtained by certified sources.
