Resumen

The study carried out has confirmed the potential of the Focus Group in qualitative research, as a consensus technique that favors reflection and discussion, of intentionally selected informants, on a given topic, enabling them to provide in-depth data about the object being studied. criteria that confer subjective validity to the information that is collected. For this reason, the objective has been established: to analyze the contributions of a focus group to the study on Higher Education during the pandemic (COVID-19), as a means to establish an assessment of the impact of this on the students’ educational process. Research methods at the theoretical and empirical levels were applied to analyze the theoretical and empirical information obtained and draw conclusions. The results obtained through the processing of the information provided by the Focus Group showed deficiencies in the development of the virtual teaching-learning process. It is concluded, based on the criteria expressed by the members of the Focus Group, that consensus was established regarding relevant aspects, referring to what was investigated, which is summarized in the recognition of the emerging measures that were assumed in the face of the educational crisis generated. in the context of the pandemic caused by COVID-19 and the effects that occurred on the quality of the training process, therefore mitigating the negative effects of this situation must constitute an essential work objective in the university educational community in the post pandemic.
