Abstract

This research aims to explain the impact of technological tools on teachers’ roles in a rural fiscal institution in Ecuador. Language and literature teaching processes have changed as a result of the rise of digital learning. The advantages of using digital resources have attracted a lot of attention. Nevertheless, there hasn’t been enough research done on trends in using digital resources for language and literature learning. This study begins by discussing the impact of ICT on education, particularly focusing on the teacher’s role in the language and literature teaching process in the new school environment. The methodology employed was an analysis that sought to present, deepen, and discuss the impact of the use of digital resources on meaningful learning in students; the topic of the study arose from analyzing that teaching practice is going through times of change in the way of teaching. Currently, the lack of training in the use and management of technology within educational practice by teachers is generating difficulties in arousing interest in learning in students. In language and literature, ICT helps students enhance communication skills, analyze various linguistic messages, and improve macro skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. From a methodological standpoint, the study used qualitative approaches, employed a non-experimental design, utilized inductive-deductive methods, and was categorized as descriptive, purposeful, and bibliographical in terms of research type. After conducting the analysis and findings, it was concluded that forming a teaching-learning network using ICT for teachers in language and literature education is highly significant. In this way, educators can significantly enhance students’ knowledge.
