Abstract

Quantum cutting in Tb3+-Yb3+ co-doped Calibo glasses was studied. The emission, excitation spectra and power dependence curves, confirm the energy conversion from one visible photon absorbed by Tb3+ to two NIR photons emitted by Yb3+.
