Abstract
This text analyzes the symbolic elements of language and reproduction in the formation and exercise of legal culture and takes Ecuador as a concrete case. The theoretical framework is based on Bourdieu‘s studies on the campus, the habitus and the symbolic elements of law; however, it does not neglect other relevant authors on the subject. The article is divided into three parts. The first part analyzes the construction of homo juridicus, not as the individual transformed into a subject of rights but as one who is subjected to the law through the pedagogical action assimilated in the training of the lawyer
