Abstract
Building a methodology of multimodal phenomenological analysis presents some challenge. It requires to link to existing methodologies, but also to generate new and appropriate inputs from the local environment. In Ecuador, there is an insufficient analysis of the impacts of social, political and news phenomena in digital contexts. The aim of this research is to fill this gap by starting an observatory of digital media. This endeavor requires the construction of a methodology for the analysis of communication that takes place within digital spheres. The aim of this article is to validate the construction of this methodology of multimodal analysis of political, social and news phenomena in Ecuador. From a multimodal phenomenological perspective, this article is keen to uncover analysis categories of content posted, shared and spread in Ecuadorian digital contexts.
