Research Interests
Shayarina Monard-Arciniegas is a full-time Professor and Researcher at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE). Her work focuses on the history and theory of architecture and urbanism in Latin America, with emphasis on 20th-century culture, governance, housing policies, and the transformation of urban environments. She has coordinated interdisciplinary academic programs and participates actively in research groups dedicated to architectural documentation and preservation. Monard-Arciniegas is author and co-editor of several publications on architectural history and urban studies, and regularly contributes as a peer reviewer for academic journals and conferences
