Research Interests
Marco López-Paredes is a university professor and researcher specializing in media ecology and digital societies. He is the director of the Communication Observatory (OdeCom) at the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador (PUCE), where he leads research on technology, culture, and communication. He developed the concept of ultramediation, which explores transformations in contemporary communicative practices. His academic approach promotes a critical and interdisciplinary understanding of digital environments through teaching and the production of applied knowledge.
