Sustainability: innovation and technology

Organization profile

Organization profile

The SIT aims to develop applied research through the formulation of urban-architectural projects that integrate criteria of sustainability, resilience, and innovation. These projects will be oriented toward solving real problems in diverse contexts and scales, from a comprehensive perspective that articulates the urban or rural with the architectural.
Among the specific objectives is the implementation of collaborative and interdisciplinary work methodologies aimed at strengthening research capabilities in the fields of architecture and the city. Likewise, it is proposed that the research processes incorporate critical reflections on academic and technological innovation, understanding the urban and/or architectural project as a coherent manifestation of a comprehensive design based on broad principles of sustainability, with a focus on planning, design, and execution.
The results derived from the research projects will be evaluated based on their academic-scientific, technological, social, environmental, and management impact, considering their applicability in both local and international contexts. Finally, a commitment is established that the initiatives developed by the research group will be based on principles of professional ethics and social responsibility, with the purpose of strengthening the link and impact of academia on society.
