This research group aims to articulate the knowledge and practices of psychoanalysis and psychiatry, having psychopathology as a hinge, since in its articulation arises a psychopathology far from the pure descriptor of modern psychiatry and attached to the place and the reading that can be made of it in the vicinity of psychoanalysis and classical psychiatry. It is thought of from the etymological reading: psycho which means soul, phatos which means sickness, infirmity and also suffering and logos which is related to language. We take psychopathology beyond a mere study of mental illness around a description. Psychopathology considers the structure of subjectivity which is that of language, insofar as the soul (psycho) suffers (phatos) from language (logos). Finally, this group seeks to give an account of the concrete experiences of the multidisciplinary care of psychologists who sustain their practice from psychoanalysis in hospital institutions.
