Organization profile

The Communication Observatory of PUCE (OdeCom) is a multidisciplinary research unit that captures, reviews and analyzes data about the communication phenomenon, its actors, sectors, media and messages. From this data, OdeCom presents contextualized, relevant and academically rigorous information, at the service of researchers and communication professionals, as well as society in general. It also promotes innovation, experimentation and research and professional development in communication. It organizes and participates in specialized and academic meetings on topics relevant to the community. OdeCom is a member of Unesco's Unitwin network and is attached to the Research Department of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE).
