Organization profile
The Botanical Garden La Carolina, currently named Father Julio Marrero, was founded in 1996 on the initiative of Monsignor Emilio Stehle, bishop of the diocese of Santo Domingo de los Colorados. In 2010 it was renamed after Father Julio Marrero, being a botanical garden, palmetum, and orchidarium of about 17 ha in size, owned by the PUCE. Address: 2, Santo Domingo 230203.
