Organization profile

The InPASS research group is comprised of an interdisciplinary team of teacher-researchers subscribed to various domains of knowledge, including psychology, psychoanalysis, sociology, integral and public health, informatics, and education through service-learning. Their research interests are related to psychosocial, cultural, and integral health issues found at the intersections of environmental and virtual studies. The principle of interdisciplinarity aims to develop a perspective that integrates and draws on contributions from clinical psychology, psychoanalysis, sociology, health, informatics, and education. InPASS aims to address its research questions in dialogue with external researchers working both in academia and directly with vulnerable populations. The main object of interest for a possible research problem focuses on relating psychosocial phenomena around social issues and environmental disasters, from various fields and categories, to achieve a new understanding of these phenomena, contribute to the co-construction of certain responses through public policies, and at the same time, aim to strengthen the role and place of academia in Ecuadorian society.
