Created in 1988 in cooperation with the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp in Belgium, the main objective of the ISP is to strengthen the links between medical education and services. The ISP-PUCE seeks to promote the link between academia and public policies by generating rigorous, up-to-date and pertinent information to the national context that helps in decision-making. This Institute, from the Faculty of Medicine of the PUCE, promotes the training and higher education in public health of students committed to the country and its diverse realities of health inequality.
