The Institute of Economic Research of the PUCE is responsible for promoting applied research in the field of social and economic needs, from an inter- intra- and multi-disciplinary approach, and articulated to teaching processes and links with the community. Among its actions are the development of scientific thinking from the economy, oriented to the discernment of the processes of socio-economic development in its different manifestations. This institute, attached to the Faculty of Economics of PUCE, promotes the integration of professors, through research groups and projects; and, for students, through degree projects.
