This group conducts multidisciplinary research on the natural history of Ecuadorian mammals, focusing on areas such as molecular systematic taxonomy, population and community ecology, functional ecology, biogeography, and evolution. Additionally, the group proposes the formulation and implementation of conservation strategies for specific mammal groups.
